Obituary


Kaye Ruth Williams Broyles, of Wichita Falls, passed away at home on August 8, 2017 at the age of 77. Services will be held at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Chapel at 10 am on Saturday, August 12th, followed by interment at Crestview Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Friday, August 11th from 6pm to 8pm at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
Kaye was born in Wichita Falls on September 7, 1939. She was a graduate of Wichita Falls Senior High and Midwestern State University and also attended Boston University. She married Jerry L. Broyles of Wichita Falls...

Kaye Ruth Williams Broyles, of Wichita Falls, passed away at home on August 8, 2017 at the age of 77. Kaye was born in Wichita Falls on September 7, 1939. She was a graduate of Wichita Falls Senior High and Midwestern State University and also attended Boston University. She married Jerry L. Broyles of Wichita Falls on December 9, 1963.
Kaye accomplished much and gave 100% to whatever she did. For years she worked with accounting and tax preparation and for Region 9. Her true passion was teaching through the Adult Literacy Council program and volunteering at River Bend Nature Center. She taught children about nature, adults to read, other volunteers to teach and taught GED preparation for reading and math. She was recognized for her years as a volunteer by the Wichita Adult Literacy Council and was a member of the Adult Spelling Bee championship team. She also enjoyed gardening, nature, reading and her grandchildren.
Kaye is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jerry L. Broyles, their daughter Lea Anne Broyles, grandchildren: Sarah Balk, Sharalyn King, Jesse Balk, Joshua Balk and William Stephens; great grandchildren: Azazel Ryan Gabriel Gray; sister Lora Anne Wilson, bother Frank Williams and his wife Marie, brother John Williams and his wife Audrey, numerous nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law.
She is preceded in death by her father, Harry Williams and mother, Mary Coffman Williams.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls, Wichita Falls Adult Literacy Council and River Bend Nature Center.
