Cristina was born to Ricardo Ruelas Villarreal and Elodia Espinosa in Wichita Falls on July 24, 1953. She was baptized into the Catholic faith as the Villarreal home revolved around church life. Cristina attended Our Lady of Guadalupe a parochial school from kindergarten to middle school. Cristina graduated from Notre Dame high school in the early 70s and Cristina's first job was at Pat's drive in on Burnet Street which she enjoyed because of her love of cooking.

Cristina was born to Ricardo Ruelas Villarreal and Elodia Espinosa in Wichita Falls on July 24, 1953. She was baptized into the Catholic faith as the Villarreal home revolved around church life. Cristina attended Our Lady of Guadalupe a parochial school from kindergarten to middle school. Cristina graduated from Notre Dame high school in the early 70s and Cristina's first job was at Pat's drive in on Burnet Street which she enjoyed because of her love of cooking.
She was a member of our lady of Guadalupe a youth organization when she met the love of her life John Porras of Odessa Texas they fell in love and we're married at our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Cristina has lovingly served her parish in various capacities since the late 80s she was serving as pastoral assistant until her illness and subsequent death. Family was high priority in her life and she is survived by her husband Juan Porras, her children John Porras Junior, Alex Porras, and his spouse Nancy and daughter Cristina Porras. Her grandchildren were the delight in her life they are Bella, Elena, Mia, Jaden, Jesusita, Julio and Emma. She is also survived by her sisters Josefina Villarreal, and Maria Dolores Ledesma, and her husband Manuel. Brother Ricardo "Rick" Villarreal and spouse Teresa. Cristina is also survived by her mother in law Celia Porras and many brother and sisters in law, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday May 21st from 6:00 - 8:00pm at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home's Chapel. Christina's funeral service will be held on Monday May 22nd at Our Lady of Guadalupe at 1:00, Father Jack McKone officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park Cemetery.
